Through the daggers piercing through my heart
I have learned the greatest lesson ever taught,
living life full of love and compassion,
but feeling nothing but pain and loss.
Knowing now to not dwell on what is gone,
but to cherish what is real,
the ability to love, the strength
to still believe in falling in love
the desire that my heart aches for
and thoughts of a beautiful creature
one day laying peacefully in my arms.
Reserving a place for her in my soul,
I lay patiently waiting for her to find me.
